I just got back from a quick trip to Safeway to pick up some tonic water and cranberry juice for Kelly, since she's ache-y tonight and I'm a GOOD sister, dammit. (Some of the time, at least!) I was at the checkout stand paying for the beverages when I heard, "Catie?" I turned around, and lo and behold, it was Tatian. From high school. As in, the guy who had an insane crush on me during our freshman year. That was nine years ago. Hello there, blast from the past! How are you today?

We exchanged the normal pleasantries -- How are you, I'm fine, Just graduated, Oh really I'm working on my degree(s). You know, standard fare. As we walked out of the store together, he offered to carry my purchases (because nearly 6 liters is heavy?) to be ~nice or ~gentlemanly or whatever, but I'm buff and awesome (hah) so I declined. He asked if we could get coffee and catch up sometime, so we traded phone numbers. I don't have a burning desire to go out with him or anything, but it could be interesting to see how much he's changed and matured since our senior year (god was he immature back then). We'll see how it goes!

So I currently have two guys from my past wanting to get coffee with me sometime soon -- Gabe is in town and he'd like to see me again before he goes back to LA!

I'll have to dig my yearbook out at some point to see if we're thinking of the same person. He was pretty much a dumbass in high school, but he might have changed since then? No harm in getting coffee.

Hah! After what happened with Cindy, I'm you're ONLY sister, so I'd better be your favorite! (Otherwise I might cry. You don't want that, do you?)

I can do Kelly one better-- you're my favorite in-law, so there!

Of course, none of my siblings are even vaguely close to marriage and providing my with siblings-in-law, so take that as you will.

Bwuaha! Take THAT, Kelly!

I'm choosing to take that in the "I'm your favoritest, now and forevers" way.

That's a good way to take it. Nick is a decent second, but starting a conversation with him can be impossible sometimes. He makes me feel awkward and uncool, kri kri. :/

Lol, Nick. He can be super cool and talkative, or surly and withdrawn... but still cool. Dammit, I <3 my brother.

Oh, Catie, you and your men. I shake my head in amusement at you.

Anyway, feel like going hiking this coming Friday, if you're free? And maybe we can pencil in the flea market with Kelly for Sunday? Not to be like, "Mwahahahaha, all of your time belongs to me!" or anything. Just trying to form some plans before we all go insane.

Guys are weeeiiird. Oh well, it makes for interesting times. =)

Yeah, that sounds good! Have you been to the flea market at the Capitol Expressway drive-in? They're charging admission now. $1.75 on Sundays. I believe it's $1.25 on Saturdays. Apparently the one at De Anza is only the first Saturday of the month?

I took the easy route and just gave up guys altogether. Much simpler. :p

Kelly and I haven't actually been to the Capital Expressway flea market, but that's the one that's down the street from our old apartment, that I mentioned before. I'm not surprised that they charge admission, since the place is huge, but $1.75 isn't bad at all. Not for how much (inexpensive) stuff is there. Do you know what the prices are on Fridays or Mondays? Or is it that they're open Fridays and Thursdays? Oh well, I know it's some day and Friday.

tl;dr, if you want, we should go to the flea market. It looks awesome, from what I've seen.

It's open either Wed-Sun or Thurs-Sun. Admission varies by day. It's a definite possibility. I didn't end up going in last week with Dan, so it will still be new. Mom said she doesn't care for this one, so IDK what it will be like. Hopefully decent with at least one cool thing for each of us.

Yeah, I'm sure it'll be worth going, even if we don't stumble upon any great finds-- just going on an outing will be nice enough.

So, because I'm a nerd and totally use a planner-- hiking Friday, flea market with Kelly on Sunday?

Sounds good. We should go early ish on Sunday, depending on how she's feeling, say around 9 or 10?

I just asked Kelly and she agreed, so it's a plan.
