I am so glad the inauguration went smoothly. I was afraid that some asshat would try to assassinate Obama just because he's black or progressive or he supports gay rights or whatever. I am so relieved that nothing happened!

Obama's oath? was pretty cute. It sounded like he was thrown off because he was anxious/nervous/excited, but the news said that the oath wasn't quoted entirely correctly. I'm sure he's a little disappointed that it didn't go perfectly, but whatever. It makes him seem more human. 

I'm just happy that we finally have an eloquent President, who listens to different sides of the same argument even (or maybe especially?) if that argument is coming from the other party. I have high hopes for this administration, and I really hope they don't disappoint. It sounds like he may actually keep his campaign promises.

Edit: Chief Justice Roberts flubbed the oath, and Obama caught the mistake.

Why would anyone spend $5 on one quart of milk? That's $20 per gallon! Absolutely ridiculous...
